Welcome to LJCC!
In February of 2005, 25 people began meeting in local homes to pray and discuss the possibility of starting a new non-denominational church in La Jolla. Shortly thereafter, God's response to them was clear and La Jolla Community Church was born. I was extremely honored to become a part of this dynamic family of believers as their first senior pastor.
We started holding worship services in a rented church that summer, then for two years at a local hotel. In 2007, our prayers for a permanent facility where answered again when God presented us with the opportunity to purchase an amazing church property in the UTC area of La Jolla. And we've been praising Him for His faithfulness and continual stream of blessings ever since.
Together, we are a diverse group of people from a wide variety of backgrounds who are discovering the love, joy, peace, and power that comes through knowing Jesus Christ.
We're striving to become the kind of church described in the Bible- a church with relevant teaching, heart-felt worship, caring friendships, constant prayer, and compassionate care for those in need. We're seeking to experience and express the kind of contagious Christianity that brings the best out in everyone it touches.
