The purpose of LJCC's Women’s Ministry is to encourage and support women of all ages and backgrounds no matter where they are in their faith. All of our women's social events, retreats and Bible studies are designed to bring women closer to Christ and to one other. Annual Retreat
Our annual retreat is held every year in the spring. What a great way to get away from it all and unwind in a beautiful setting amidst friends young and old. Dynamic speakers are brought in to lead us, inspiring worship leaders come to inspire us and all who attend leave the weekend with a greater understanding of who God is, how much he loves us, and where we might want to go next on our journey serving and loving him.
Social Events
About twice a year, LJCC women get together for casual social events that are strictly designed for fellowship and fun. Past events have taken us to the beach for a "Sunset Soiree", to a lovely La Jolla home and to our church sanctuary for a good old-fashioned potluck among friends. Community Bible Study
We invite all women to join Community Bible Study (CBS), an in-depth 30-week Bible study for women of all ages and stages and denominations. Mary Rumsey leads the study which takes place September through June at La Jolla Presbyterian Life Center. Childcare provided for infants through nursery age.
