It's amazing to see how the men of LJCC are growing in their faith each and every day. Many who are newer in their faith are now in small groups for the first time in their lives. Others are finding joy serving on LJCC's various ministry teams, settin up for services on Sundays, and embarking on mission projects and trips to serve the needy both here in our community and in the world beyond. They are making a difference by discovering God's plan for their lives and then living out their faith with boldness in the real world.
Our popular "Wild at Heart" ministry is an experience we give men to help them understand God’s plan and purpose for their lives. It is designed to help them see the larger design of their life so they can focus on the details more effectively. Wild at Heart is a chance for men to rediscover the wild and wonderful heart God has given them and to live deeply, joyfully, and willing to risk and sacrifice for what really counts in life. Through weekly Bible studies and social events (with and without their spouses), these men are growing closer to the Lord and to each other. The impact this is having on their careers and their families is truly a blessing.
"Game Plan" is focused on motivating men who are middle-aged and beyond to look creatively at the second half of life beyond their careers. More events for this group are in the works, so stay tuned!
True North is for men who are ready for more: more knowledge and experience of God, more skill in discerning his will, more strength to face challenges, more resources to help people you care about and be a positive spiritual influence. It is a 9-month commitment to weekly personal study and a monthly gathering which includes dinner, teaching and discussion. Look for this group to start again in the Fall of 2010.
