Sunday Morning Check In for Infants through Five Year Olds
When you arrive on a Sunday morning you have the option of taking your infant through five year old directly to their room and checking them in.
We do understand that every parent has a different comfort level and requirements for dropping off their children. Please know that you are more then welcome to take your child into the service with you. While there is no expectation that they should be silent, we would ask you politely to be aware if your child is becoming a major distraction. Please know you are more then welcome to stay with them in the room assigned for their age group.
Room 7 is designated for infants through two year olds. Three through five year olds are in room 8. Rooms 7-8 are located in The Bungalows. You'll find a map of the campus at the Children's Ministry table near the sanctuary, signs that point the way, and greeters/ushers to help direct you to the appropriate rooms. On "special" occasions such as Easter Sunday, children may be in room 9. These three rooms are just a few feet apart.
When you arrive at The Bungalows, your first stop will be at the check in table, near the door. If you have never been to LJCC you'll sign in your child on the registration sheet, pick out a pager, and fill out a name tag. It is very important to write the pager number on your child's name tag. Also, make sure to put a name tag on any bags or other accessories that you will be leaving in the room.
The pagers, just like the ones you get a restaurant, should vibrate when you take them out of the charging station. This means they are charged and gives you an example of what will happen if your child needs you during the service.
Please fill out a registration form that's printed on blue paper and place it in the registration basket after you fill it out. Click here to download and print a registration form. After filling out the form, we'll input the information into our database, allowing you to use the computer check in (which is quicker and easier then manual check in) and ensures that you won't miss out on all the great things happening here at LJCC. You'll get plugged in with e-mail updates about what the monthly lessons are, memory verses kids are working on, and opportunities for your family to participate in.
Once you have completed the information and name tags for check in make sure to check the table for any informational pieces that might benefit you and your family. You'll then bring your child to their appropriate room. We encourage you to ask any questions or pass on any necessary information to the volunteers in the room.
After the service you'll bring your pager to the room your child is in and give that to the volunteer in the room until we get to know you and your child.
