Military Outreach Mission

Our Mission: To provide assistance and relief to local military men and women and their families.

Our Military Outreach Team communicates with several local military and relief organizations to assists in the immediate needs of Military families in the community. We work closely with the Navy Wives/Food Locker at Miramar to provide Easter meals every year. Diapers, gently used baby items, and magazine are collected weekly and distributed to needy families at the base. Bake sales, coffee sales and church rummage are fundraising events that help to finance care packages and gift baskets (household, baby, crockpot and skillets). We coordinate an annual letter drive and Halloween costume collection with neighboring schools. We assist Miramar with a fall festival and Operation Homefront with their Christmas programs at Balboa Hospital. We have also partnered with Military Outreach Ministries and Rescue Task Force throughout the years. These are just a few services that La Jolla Community Church joyfully provides to show our appreciation for the service and sacrifice of our military and their families. Please check our Military website for info on new projects.

Volunteers: If this ministry touches your heart and you would like to participate in bringing joy to our military men and women, please consider joining our group. All levels of participation are needed to make this ministry a success. Help us to thank these wonderful American patriots.
